2026 Wuhan Open unveils star-studded lineup

The 2026 Wuhan Open has announced its player lineup, featuring an impressive array of tennis talent. The initial list of 43 players includes all of the current top 10 ranked players in the world, along with 10 Grand Slam singles champions and five players who have held the world No 1 spot. Fans will be treated to a spectacular showcase of top-tier women's tennis.

Leading the stellar lineup is three-time Grand Slam champion and newly crowned world No 1, Elena Rybakina, while 2026 season Grand Slam singles champions, including French Open winner Mirra Andreeva and Wimbledon champion Linda Nosková, all set to compete in Wuhan.

Adding to the excitement, four-time Grand Slam winner and three-time Wuhan Open champion Aryna Sabalenka, along with two-time Grand Slam champion and defending champion Coco Gauff, will also grace the courts. Six-time Grand Slam champion Iga Świątek is among the other notable names set to compete.

While international stars are set to shine, Chinese players are also in the spotlight. Wang Xinyu has secured a direct entry into the main draw thanks to her world ranking. As a key figure in Chinese women's tennis, she will be competing against the world's elite.

Zheng Qinwen, who recently impressed at the US Open, will return to her hometown of Wuhan to compete. In 2024, she made history by reaching the Wuhan Open final, marking the best performance by a Chinese player in the event’s history. As she returns to familiar grounds, Zheng aims to maintain her strong performance and achieve new heights against the world's finest players.
