Intl youth find home in OVC
The number of resident foreign professionals in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) has increased nearly tenfold since its early development, rapidly transforming it into a global talent hub. With the continuous influx of talent, more and more international youths are coming here to study, work, and live.
Aya, from Morocco, found love and a better version of herself here; Li An, from Spain, discovered a sense of hometown tranquility in the breezes of the East Lake; and Sudanese engineer Li Yang has made reganmian (hot, dry noodles) a staple of his diet and now calls OVC his hometown.
From education and employment to settling down and making a home, such stories unfold daily in OVC. Behind these tales is the zone's growing international influence. More young people from around the world are promoting "World Optics Valley" with their dynamic lives.
