Wuhan, known as a "university city" with 95 higher education institutions and over 1.4 million students, boasts a young population that now makes up more than one-third of its residents. Embracing the development philosophy of mutual growth between the city and its youth, Wuhan is committed to becoming a youth-friendly city where young people can truly thrive.

To explore the growth of the youth-friendly city, the youth-focused vlog series Linking the World from Wuhan has been produced to invite international young residents to share their lives from a first-person perspective, painting a vivid and authentic picture of Wuhan. Episode 9 features Hisham, a young Jordanian professional working at YOFC, a leading optical fiber company in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC). Hisham shares insights into how OVC, Wuhan's technological hub, is connecting the world.
