The 2026 RoBoLeague National Championship commenced in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) on May 25. Organized by the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, the event has attracted over 30 university teams from across the nation.

In addition to local teams like Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, teams from other regions, including the China Agricultural University in Beijing, also participated. Some of these teams boast previous international championship titles, making this the most competitive event in the competition’s history.
The national championship features AI-empowered humanoid robots in a 3v3 format, with full autonomous decision-making and no manual remote control. Participating teams must tackle challenges such as environmental perception, dynamic path planning, multi-machine collaboration, and high-speed motion control. These core technologies test the robots' real-time reaction and strategic execution skills in complex competitive scenarios.
Preliminary matches for the RoBoLeague main event will take place from May 30 to June 7, with free public access to watch the games on site. The finals are scheduled for June 13 to 14, with tickets starting at 39.9 yuan ($5.9) and special family ticket offers available.
Prior to the national championship, four specialized training sessions were conducted, along with warm-up matches in OVC. This "course empowerment + practical experience" approach aims to enhance participants' skills and readiness for the competition.
