The 2026 Optics Valley AI Innovation Ecosystem Conference and University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum was held on May 14 in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC).

Over 100 university innovation and entrepreneurship institutes, major companies, and OPC (One Person Company) entrepreneurs gathered to discuss AI technology development, the construction of an OPC ecosystem, and talent cultivation.

As crucial drivers of AI entrepreneurship, OPCs are experiencing rapid growth. Currently, 19 OPC-themed communities have been established or are under construction in OVC, covering an area of over 20,000 square meters.

During the conference, OVC unveiled a new OPC service system designed to enhance AI empowerment, industry monetization, and enterprise operation, and establish support measures for talent attraction, precise financing, growth services, and benchmark incentives, aiming to build the optimal AI entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Furthermore, over 100 innovation and entrepreneurship institutes from universities such as Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Wuhan University signed agreements to launch the "Optics Valley Tour" series. 

This initiative will lead to regular collaborations between universities and OVC, including project roadshows, policy alignment, and enterprise tours, encouraging more young talents and quality projects to settle and thrive in the zone.

OVC is now fully embracing AI and striving to build a "World Optics Valley". Universities and young talent are encouraged to join the zone to pursue AI innovation and entrepreneurship.
