Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) welcomed the inauguration of iQIYI's AIGC (AI Generated Content) (Wuhan) Creative Center on April 29, empowering OVC to become a leading AI film city. This also marks the company's second AIGC creative hub in China, following its Shanghai center.

"The choice of OVC for our AIGC creative center represents a strategic convergence of industry resources and an innovative ecosystem," said Wang Liang, iQIYI's executive editor-in-chief. From the initial online discussions on March 29 to the launch on April 29, it took just one month to establish the center, thanks to OVC's digital content creation environment and targeted policy support.

As AIGC technology rapidly evolves, the film and television industry is entering a golden era of enhanced efficiency and democratized technology. The iQIYI AIGC creative center is designed to empower AI film creators with a comprehensive service system spanning content production, operations, distribution, and monetization.

The Wuhan center primarily targets the Central China market, focusing on lowering the barriers to AI film creation. It aims to empower small creators and independent teams, fostering the production of diverse, high-quality content, including films, series, and animations.

OVC boasts a robust foundation in AI and digital cultural industries, with a concentration of talent. The zone has also introduced specialized support policies for AI, tech culture, and micro-short dramas. The launch of the iQIYI AIGC (Wuhan) Creative Center will further empower OVC's digital cultural industry chain and support its ambition to become a global AI film city.
