Innovative OVC products debut at World Health Expo
The World Health Expo 2026 is taking place in the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) from April 8 to 10, showcasing a range of groundbreaking products from 316 companies, including OVC-based enterprises such as United Imaging, Yiruide Group, and Neuracom.
Now in its eighth year, the expo has attracted over 7,000 enterprises from around the globe. This year's event spans approximately 20,000 square meters, featuring advancements in brain science, the silver economy, and smart healthcare.
At Yiruide Group’s booth, attendees can experience a groundbreaking brain-machine interface rehabilitation system. By wearing a photonic cap, users can control an exoskeleton arm with their thoughts, without the need for implanted chips.

United Imaging is showcasing several intelligent medical devices for the first time. Its AI-powered ultrasound equipment, designed for the ultrasound diagnostics field, automates probe parameter settings, measurements, and report generation. For instance, cardiac ultrasound exams can now be completed in just 3 to 5 minutes, down from half an hour.
This year's expo also introduces a Tech for Disability section, featuring products related to rehabilitation, diagnostics, and mobility assistance. Neuracom, for example, is displaying an intelligent bionic hand, enabling amputees to perform precise tasks like writing, playing the piano, and handing out business cards.
In 2025, Wuhan's life and health industry exceeded 660 billion yuan ($96.55 billion), leading central China with over 5,500 life health enterprises. OVC's Biolake is home to more than 4,200 life health companies, including Pfizer and Sinopharm, with over 400 Class I new drugs in development.
