Hubei province has launched three international logistics routes, marking a significant enhancement to the province's global connectivity.

The routes, launched on March 31, are Ezhou Huahu International Airport’s São Paulo cargo flight, the Wuhan-Baku China-Europe freight train route, and the Wuhan Yangluo Port-Tunisian olive oil river-sea intermodal channel: robust arteries that connect Hubei to the world.

Covering air freight, rail transport, and river-sea intermodal logistics, they effectively connect the province with South America, Central Asia, and North Africa, showcasing Hubei’s commitment to opening-up and deepening international trade cooperation.

Hubei has continuously enhanced its multimodal transport system in recent years, integrating rail, water, road, and air logistics, with Ezhou Huahu International Airport launching 116 domestic and international cargo routes and its cargo throughput ranking fifth nationwide in 2025.

The China-Europe freight train service from Wuhan now exceeds 1,000 trips annually, reaching 41 countries and regions across Eurasia, while Wuhan Yangluo Port connects to 117 global ports, elevating the hub status of the Yangtze River's middle reaches.

The addition of these new routes shows that an increasingly open Hubei is poised to embark on a new development journey with the world, using these routes as bridges to foster international collaboration.
