Intl delegates visit Wuhan for cooperation
A group of 36 participants from the Workshop on Building Global Development Partnership under the Global Development Initiative (GDI), representing seven countries, visited the Huagong Tech Intelligent Manufacturing Future Industrial Park in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) on March 26. The visit aimed to gain a closer look at Wuhan's innovations in laser technology and the forefront of industry developments.

At the laser intelligent manufacturing-themed technology exhibition hall, Vichea Huot, an official from Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was particularly impressed by Huagong Tech's independently developed laser welding technology. He said that the visit gave him a fresh perspective on the vast potential applications of laser technology, and he was eager to deepen practical cooperation with Chinese enterprises to explore new development opportunities.
Isaya Ntalugela, an economist with Tanzania's Ministry of Finance, focused on technology transfer and industry cooperation. He highly praised Huagong Tech's innovative capabilities and emphasized Tanzania's keen interest in attracting Chinese companies to invest and establish operations locally, facilitating the implementation of these technologies to bolster industrial growth.
The Ministry of Commerce has recently organized a series of visits to Wuhan for participants in international training programs. During these visits, delegates experienced firsthand the city's innovations in optical communications, new energy vehicles, and laser intelligent manufacturing, while also gaining a deeper appreciation for its rich local culture.
Exchange activities at the Huagong Tech Intelligent Manufacturing Future Industrial Park further strengthened Wuhan's economic and cultural ties with countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, laying a solid foundation for expanding international cooperation channels.
