The conference attracted nearly 200 representatives from leading tech companies, investment institutions, and academic organizations. Keynote speakers included You Zheng, president of Huazhong University of Science and Technology; Cheng Weihua, executive vice president of Yangtze Memory Technology Co; and Ding Qichao, director of Jiufengshan Laboratory.
Agreements worth over 20 billion yuan ($288.3 million) were signed, focusing on key areas of the modern industrial system. Notable projects included the first phase of the integrated storage and computing industrial park, an AI-driven innovative drug industrial park, and an eVTOL R&D and production base in OVC.
As 2026 marks the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30), Hubei province and Wuhan are prioritizing the development of OVC, aiming to build a trillion-yuan "World Optics Valley". In this crucial development period, OVC invites global entrepreneurs and investment institutions to become partners in its industrial development, working together to create a world-class industrial cluster.
