Wuhandong Railway Station launches regular-speed trains
Wuhandong Railway Station has begun operating nine daily round-trip regular-speed trains connecting the Zaoyang, Hankou, and Wuchang stations, offering residents additional travel options.
One of the key routes is Train 4814, departing Wuhandong at 8:42 am and arriving in Zaoyang at 12:28 pm, with a total journey time of 3 hours and 46 minutes. This train will make stops at Wuchang, Yunmeng, Anlu, and Suizhou. The return train, 4816, leaves Zaoyang at 1:13 pm and reaches Wuhandong at 5:10 pm, taking 3 hours and 57 minutes with the same stops in reverse order.
An additional five trains will run from Wuhandong to Wuchang, with a travel time of about 30 minutes and a fare of 3 yuan ($0.40), as well as three trains from Wuhandong to Hankou, costing 4 yuan and taking approximately one hour, catering to peak travel times in the morning and evening.
As Wuhan's fourth-largest train station, Wuhandong's introduction of regular-speed trains enhances dual operations of both high-speed and regular-speed services. This development strengthens connectivity between Hankou and nearby cities like Ezhou, Huangshi, and Huanggang, facilitating regional mobility.
With this launch, Wuhandong Railway Station now supports a diverse range of train services, including high-speed, intercity, express, and regular-speed trains, accelerating the integration of transportation within the Wuhan metropolitan area.
