Founded in 2006, TERMIS is a globally influential academic organization that unites researchers, clinical experts, and industry leaders in tissue engineering, biomaterials, stem cells, bioprinting, and regenerative medicine.

Zhang graduated from Wuhan University of Technology and established Asia Biomaterials in OVC in 2009. The company's independently developed high-activity artificial bone repair materials are used in over 300 hospitals, offering a cost reduction of more than 50 percent compared to similar imported materials.

Asia Biomaterials, in collaboration with the Wuhan Institute of Industrial Innovation and Development, launched the Biomedical Materials and Devices Research Institute in OVC in 2022, aiming to advance the development and commercialization of major biomaterial products.

"Regenerative medicine is multidisciplinary," said Zhang. "OVC, with its strengths in optoelectronics, artificial intelligence, and life sciences, provides fertile ground for medical-engineering integration. We will continue to develop our business in the zone, accelerating the market launch of artificial skin, dental repair materials, and more."
