Hubei-Hong Kong Collaborative Innovation Center hosts first tech exchange event
The Hubei-Hong Kong Collaborative Innovation Center held its inaugural "Hubei-Hong Kong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Salon" at Hong Kong Science Park in Hong Kong on Sept 25.
The center, established by the Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC), serves as a crucial platform for the promotion of cross-regional cooperation and extending the tech innovation supply chain. The event aims to create a regular exchange platform and foster the deep integration of innovation chains between Hubei and Hong Kong.

This salon featured presentations from 10 cutting-edge tech projects originating from prestigious institutions such as the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and City University of Hong Kong.
The showcased technologies spanned a variety of fields, including laser lithography, two-photon 3D printing, high-precision sensors, AI for satellite remote sensing data, low-altitude aircraft, and AI for medical big data.
The event also included thematic sharing sessions, policy interpretations, roundtable discussions, and project presentations, covering topics such as corporate listing, policy applications, technology commercialization, and financing connections.
During the roundtable discussion, representatives from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hubei Jiufengshan Laboratory, InnoAngel Fund, and Wuhan Optics Valley Talent Group exchanged views on the trends in the commercialization of Hong Kong University Technologies and Hubei-Hong Kong collaboration opportunities.
The Hubei-Hong Kong Collaborative Innovation Center will continue to host project exchanges, talent interactions, and policy promotions, enhancing the bidirectional flow of innovation resources and establishing a collaborative tech innovation hub for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
