Each of the top 10 med-tech innovations will receive a provincial science and technology project grant of 1 million yuan ($140,364). Additionally, all participating projects will gain access to Hubei's Med-Tech Innovation Development Financial Empowerment Plan for support and services.
The competition drew 215 innovative teams from across the nation, including medical institutions, universities, research institutes, and tech companies. The projects covered a wide range of fields, including advanced medical equipment, high-value medical consumables, smart healthcare, and brain-computer interfaces.
During the event, representatives of five companies, including We-Linking Medical, Neurodome Medical, and MindAngel Intelligence, signed agreements to become the first to set up operations in the Optics Valley Brain-Computer Interface Industrial Cluster.
Meanwhile, the Changjiang Optics Valley Med-Tech Investment Fund was announced, aiming to cover the entire med-tech industry chain, and foster a virtuous cycle of "capital, projects, industry, and innovation".
