2025 Wuhan Open singles lineup unveiled
The 2025 Wuhan Open has announced its singles main draw acceptance list, featuring elite players from the top 40 global rankings. This year's event promises thrilling matchups with the presence of all four Grand Slam women's singles champions: Australian Open winner Madison Keys, French Open champion Coco Gauff, Wimbledon victor Iga Swiatek, and US Open champion Aryna Sabalenka.
The lineup also boasts Grand Slam champions and former world number ones, including Elena Rybakina, Naomi Osaka, and Jeļena Ostapenko. China's own stars, Zheng Qinwen and Wang Xinyu, have secured their spots through world rankings, ready to compete on home soil against these top-tier athletes.
Zheng expressed her excitement: "Last year, the support from the crowd at every match in Wuhan was incredibly moving. I invite everyone to join us in Wuhan to witness each spectacular moment."
Over the course of nine days, 106 thrilling matches will be held, with approximately 120 of the world's finest female tennis players vying for 1,000 ranking points and a total prize pool of $3.65 million.
In addition to the tennis action, the event will coincide with the Wuhan Sports Golden Autumn Consumption Season, featuring exclusive coupon packages, a Wuhan Open Carnival, and themed bus tours.
