The 17th China Bioindustry Convention is showcasing innovations from over 200 biotech companies and institutions in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) from Sept 4 to 6, with nearly 1,000 cutting-edge technologies, including AI models, surgical robots, brain-computer interfaces, and innovative drugs, on display.

The convention featured a 10,000-square-meter professional exhibition divided into three main zones: Comprehensive Image of Bioindustry Bases, Biomanufacturing Experience, and Future Development. These zones offered the public a one-stop insight into the development and innovation of China's bioindustry.

At the entrance of the Biomanufacturing Experience Zone, a staff member from United Imaging highlighted the company's "YuanZhi" medical AI model, launched in April. "By employing this model, our intelligent chest scan system can automatically detect 73 common chest abnormalities from plain scans and generate reports, significantly enhancing medical efficiency," he explained.

In the exhibition area of OVC-based company Yiruide Group, attendees experiencing insomnia or mood issues tried out non-invasive brain-computer interfaces and neuroregulation devices. "This equipment precisely regulates brain neural activity to improve users' mental states," said Yao Lishu, the company's head of medical affairs.
