Wuhan Kingsoft Software Park opens in OVC
Wuhan Kingsoft Software Park has opened in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC), marking a significant milestone in Xiaomi and Kingsoft Group's strategic expansion in Wuhan and Hubei province.

Lei Jun, chairman of Kingsoft Group and founder and CEO of Xiaomi Group, attended the launch event, announcing that the combined research and development (R&D) team of Xiaomi and Kingsoft has now reached 9,500 members, with plans to expand to 10,000 by the end of the year.
The software park spans a total area of 280,000 square meters and integrates R&D, living, and leisure spaces. It can accommodate up to 9,000 people working simultaneously, making it Kingsoft Group's largest R&D center.

Several Kingsoft subsidiaries have now settled in Wuhan, collaborating with Xiaomi Group and contributing to Hubei's ambition to become a new hub for the digital economy.
Beyond business growth, Kingsoft has partnered with Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and other institutions to establish engineering training camps. With 3,607 ICT talents having been trained, this initiative has also set up the "Digital Intelligence+" scholarship to support more young people in pursuing digital technology innovations.
