Chang-Lin Tien Center upgraded to create intl talent platform
The exhibition hall at the Chang-Lin Tien Center in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) has undergone a comprehensive upgrade to establish an OVC international talent platform by holding various academic and cultural exchange activities.
The upgraded exhibition hall showcases the academic career and educational achievements of Chang-Lin Tien, the first Chinese-American chancellor of the University of California, Berkeley, using rich historical materials, imagery, and interactive displays.

As a vital platform for civil exchanges between China and foreign countries, the center now serves three main functions: a hub for Berkeley alumni exchanges, a dialogue platform for outstanding talents worldwide, and a science education base for youth.
"We are committed to building the center into a world platform integrating academic exchanges, cultural dissemination, and scientific and educational innovation," said an executive of the center. This initiative not only upholds and practices Chancellor Tien's educational philosophy but also aims to inject new vitality into the construction of the "World Optics Valley".
The 2025 Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China, along with the 16th Chang-Lin Tien Forum, is set to take place on Nov 26 at the Chang-Lin Tien Center. The gathering will attract academic leaders, business elites, and pioneers of technology enterprises from home and abroad to discuss innovations in science and education development.
