On July 1, Wuhandong Railway Station inaugurated its first high-speed train service to Hangzhouxi Railway Station, marking a milestone in cross-provincial high-speed rail operations.

These high-speed trains will operate during this summer travel season, with train G4627/6 departing from Hangzhouxi at 10:20 am and arriving at Wuhan at 3:03 pm, with a total travel time of 4 hours and 43 minutes. Train G4625/8 will depart from Wuhandong at 4:18 pm, reaching Hangzhouxi at 10:12 pm, covering the journey in 5 hours and 54 minutes.

Trains departing from Wuhandong will pass through 16 stations, including Gediannan and Huanggangdong, while those from Hangzhouxi stop at nine stations, such as Tongludong and Qiandaohu, linking Hubei, Anhui, and Zhejiang provinces. This cross-provincial high-speed service will provide a more convenient travel option for passengers from Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) to Hangzhou.

As Wuhan's fourth-largest railway station, Wuhandong handles high-speed, EMU, intercity, and regular train services. It primarily operates EMU and intercity trains, along with the new city express. The launch of the high-speed service to Hangzhouxi will further enhance the station's role as a major comprehensive transportation hub.

Travelers can check detailed ticketing and train schedule information through the official 12306 app and website, or stay informed via announcements at Wuhandong Railway Station to plan their journeys.
