Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) announced a series of distinctive cultural and tourism events at a news conference on June 27, allowing visitors to experience the charm of OVC from various perspectives.

Employing the resources of "science and technology + landscape + culture", OVC will introduce a "1+8" way to explore the zone. The "one" refers to the unveiling of a technological, cultural, and tourism map, while the "eight" denotes launching eight premium tourist routes and organizing a series of promotional activities.

The OVC technological, cultural, and tourism map integrates tourism resources across the zone, covering 65 locations, including research enterprises, industrial platforms, cultural venues, and popular attractions like the Optics Valley Suspended Monorail and the Erfei Mountain Park.

Among the eight premium tourist routes, "Science Museum Exploration" and "Multidimensional Technology Practice" routes focus on parent-child study tours, allowing parents and children to experience the fusion of technology and nature. The "Trendy Entertainment Experience" route passes through Optics Valley Pedestrian Street, the Changjiang Audio-Visual Base, and the Optics Valley International Tennis Center, offering visitors a comprehensive entertainment experience.

Aligning with the summer cultural and tourism event calendar, OVC presents 68 activities across six categories: urban entertainment, metaverse experiences, arts performances, public cultural events, children's science tours, and public fitness activities.

From July 12 to August 31, the Optics Valley Suspended Monorail will host a Summer Anime Festival in collaboration with the domestic science fiction animation Ling Cage. Recreating classic scenes from the anime, the entire rail line and stations will transform into a mobile anime-themed park.
