OVC welcomes its 69th listed company
On June 10, MetaLight Inc was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX), becoming the 69th listed company from Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC).
MetaLight is a leading provider of public transportation information services in China. The company's investors include Didi and Alibaba, and its reported revenue for 2024 was 206 million yuan ($28.67 million).

In 2013, MetaLight launched the mobile app "Chelaile", which visualizes bus arrival times and bus arrival distances by analyzing GPS data authorized by transportation agencies, user queries and search history, and aggregated data from buses and users.
"Chelaile" has expanded its reach to 466 towns across 274 cities. By the end of 2024, the app had approximately 298.4 million users, with an average of 29.08 million monthly active users, making it a popular application among Chinese commuters.

MetaLight also offers analytical products tailored to the needs of transportation agencies. These products help clients improve operational and management efficiency by monitoring real-time bus operations, enhancing the accuracy of bus data, optimizing bus routes, and planning new routes.
OVC has established several capital market service platforms, and also provided support in investment and financing matchmaking, listing training, and policy coordination.
OVC now boasts a total of 69 listed companies, accounting for over 60 percent of the listed companies in Wuhan and about one-third of those in Hubei province.
