Six OVC pilot testing platforms selected for national cultivation list
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has selected six pilot testing platforms from Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China, or OVC) for the list of the first batch of pilot platforms to undergo key cultivation.
The selected OVC platforms include the Humanwell Healthcare Innovative Drug Pilot Testing Platform, JFS Laboratory Compound Semiconductor Pilot Testing Platform, and the Chime Biologics Recombinant Protein Drug Pilot Testing Platform, covering areas such as pharmaceuticals, industrial machines, and integrated circuits.

The number of pilot testing platforms reflects the local industrialization level and directly indicates the overall level of industrial development in a given area. Technology that undergoes pilot testing has an 80 percent industrialization success rate, compared to only 30 percent without such testing.
The JFS Laboratory's pilot testing platform, equipped with over 500 advanced process and testing devices, provides an optimal testing environment for related software, equipment, and materials. It has already attracted over 500 enterprises and research institutions seeking collaboration, leading to the industrialization of several technological achievements and urgently needed technical solutions.
OVC has established 61 city-level registered technology industrialization pilot testing platforms, accounting for nearly 30 percent of the city's total. These platforms span core industries such as next-generation information technology, life health, and high-end equipment.
OVC plans to accelerate the improvement of the pilot testing platform system, deepen the integration of technological and industrial innovation, and promote the high-quality development of pilot testing platforms.
