Recently, in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), the first cross-border video registration service was successfully completed in the face-to-face cloud service hall for real estate registration.

Ms Zhou and the seller, Mr Li, had previously signed a purchase and sale contract for a property. The seller had not yet obtained the Real Estate Ownership Certificate, but due to her long-term residence abroad, she was unable to handle the procedures at the office in the short term.

"After learning about the situation, we immediately contacted Ms Zhou in Singapore and successfully conducted a video test. Both the buyer and seller can apply for the transaction through the real estate face-to-face cloud service hall," explained a staff member in charge of real estate registration in the valley.

The cloud service has expanded the dimension of online processing, allowing residents from anywhere to conduct collaborative procedures through remote video. This platform uses real-time video connections to simultaneously bring government staff members, rights holders, and obligors into the same online reception room.

The cloud service is a key innovative initiative that has been included in OVC's 2024 strategic deployment to optimize its business environment.
