On Jan 8, the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China or OVC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC Group).

According to the agreement, the two parties will collaborate in areas such as the construction of Wuhan New City, the establishment of a modern industrial system, the acceleration of urban infrastructure construction, and the creation of a livable and ecological city.

MCC Group is a super-large State-owned construction enterprise affiliated with China Minmetals Co and ranked fifth in the "ENR 2023 Top 250 Global Contractors". MCC Group and its subsidiaries have been involved in several important infrastructure and industrial projects in Optics Valley of China, including Gaoxin Avenue and Senlin Avenue.

Du Haiyang, secretary of the valley's Party work committee, expressed gratitude to MCC Group for their long-term attention and support. He hopes that MCC Group will deepen cooperation with OVC in order to contribute to the valley's transformation into a first-class business environment. In turn, OVC will provide high-quality and efficient services to the group in order to accelerate its development.
