The construction of Wuhan New City has been expedited since its launch one year ago, and by the end of 2023, a total of 131 city construction projects had been completed.

The Duanjuli Lake Bridge, one of the completed projects, recently opened to the public in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), and is a crucial project for Wuhan-Ezhou connectivity.

Among these projects, 71 are for comprehensive transportation, five are for industrial parks, 11 are for power grids, 21 are for public welfare, and nine involve park greening.

The operation of major projects, such as the opening of China's first sky rail and Wuhan's 19th Metro Line, further improve city functions and expand the influence of Wuhan New City.
