According to a recently held signing ceremony, the core areas of the Wuhan metropolitan area, including Wuhan, Ezhou, Huanggang, and Huangshi, now mutually recognize professional titles.

The four cities have launched a mutual recognition information platform for professional titles, which allows individuals to apply for title recognition online. The platform enables real-time certificate generation and confirmation by the human resources departments of the respective cities without the need for repetitive evaluations.

Under this agreement, the city where the individual applies for recognition will verify the title information.

Qin Zunwen, vice president of the China Society of Urban Economy and secretary-general of Yangtze River Delta University Think Tank Alliance, pointed out that the mutual recognition of professional titles in the Wuhan metropolitan area will break down barriers and facilitate a more accessible flow of talent.

This move will significantly benefit companies that conduct research and development in Wuhan while manufacturing in the surrounding cities of Ezhou, Huanggang, and Huangshi.

The total number of professional and technical personnel in the four cities accounts for 60 percent of Hubei's total. Nearly 1 billion yuan ($139.4 million) has been invested in talent special funds, providing intellectual support to enhance the overall competitiveness of the metropolitan area.
