Wuhan in Central China's Hubei province urged the whole government service handling bodies to achieve their business upgrading to raise work efficiency this April.

The government service center for the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) recently lowered the height of the computer desk at its renovated corporate service area. In June, staff members discovered that the previous height of 1 meter made it difficult and uncomfortable for most residents to type in front of the computer. The new height of 90 centimeters was implemented to provide better accessibility and comfort for visitors.

All the government service center workers have been called on to park their private cars at the P2 parking lot and spare more spaces at the P1 parking lot, which is near the service center, for residents coming there to handle government affairs.

These are part of the valley's micro government service reform, which focuses on details during the government affair handling process, to increase locals' sense of gain.

The professional government service handling book for staff members has been released, divided into nine volumes, to help them better guide people on relevant issues.

Special commentators have been selected at the center to demonstrate and explain the valley's advanced government service practices to delegations of government bodies and other institutions across China wishing to learn from OVC.
