A group of media representatives visited Wuhan New City. They started their second day on Aug 1 by visiting the HGTECH Intelligent Manufacturing Future Industrial Park, located in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC). The park showcased advanced equipment, which caught the attention of the journalists. They frequently paused to learn about the equipment's performance and sales.

HGTECH's advanced laser cutting equipment production line was developed independently by the company and is popular in markets in Europe, America, and Southeast Asia, ranking first in global sales, according to Ma Xinqiang, president of the firm.

As the "brightest light, fastest knife, and most precise ruler," laser equipment can be used everywhere, from interior decoration materials to automobile manufacturing. German and Japanese manufacturers used to dominate the global high-end laser equipment market for years until HGTECH's laser equipment appeared.

Through continuous breakthroughs in critical technologies, Huagong Tech has possessed over 60 advanced technologies in China. Research and development are conducted in Wuhan, while manufacturing occurs in Gedian.

HGTECH's core subsidiary, HGLaser, has played a leading role, and its supplier number has exceeded 100 in Wuhan and Gedian, forming a complete outsourcing supply chain system.

At the Optics Valley Sci-tech Innovation Corridor, which connects Wuhan, Ezhou, Huanggang, and Huangshi, the optoelectronic information industrial scale has reached nearly 800 billion yuan ($112 billion). In January, Wuhan New City emerged, spanning Wuhan and Ezhou, and is expected to become the main driving force for the Wuhan-Ezhou-Huanggang-Huangshi city cluster in the future.
