TCL meets with global ecosystem partners

The 2023 TCL Global Ecosystem Partner Conference opened in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on July 6.

Hosted by TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co based in the valley, the event gathered more than 500 renowned corporation representatives and specialists in intelligent terminals, semi-conductor displays, new energy, and photovoltaic industries to discuss the high-tech manufacturing ecosystem building featuring innovation and sustainability.

TCL issued its carbon neutrality white paper, announcing that the company is set to achieve the carbon peak goal no later than 2030 and the carbon neutrality goal no later than 2050. It also released a series of significant achievements made since the launch of its Xuri Plan in terms of technological innovation, standard formulation, industrial alliances, and strategic cooperation.

Li Dongsheng, founder and president of TCL, delivered a keynote speech on industrial ecosystem innovation and high-quality development.

According to Li, TCL has been working with several enterprises and research institutions, has initiated more than 90 R&D projects, set up 17 joint labs, and 11 national innovation platforms, promoted the founding of seven industrial ecosystem alliances, and participated in over 20 industrial standards in its three core businesses.

A celebration for Getech Technology Co – a leading industrial Internet platform company founded and invested in by TCL in 2018 – moving into the province was held. Getech Platform was accredited by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a national "cross-industry and cross-domain industrial internet platform".

A roundtable forum was held then, after which 18 technical consultants were officially hired by TCL. Four universities and research institutions established technical partnerships with the company.
