Following a stressful nine-month period of unwavering dedication and tireless efforts, the construction of the right line segment spanning from the Wudong Station to the Gujia Mountain Station of the illustrious Wuhan Metro Line 19 was triumphantly finalized on May 29.

With its anticipated launch set to take place by the culmination of this year, the highly-anticipated Metro Line 19 is poised to revolutionize transportation in Wuhan, serving as an invaluable time-saving conduit for commuters. Notably, this efficient mode of transport will prove particularly advantageous for residents residing in the vicinity of the esteemed East Lake High-tech Development Zone, widely renowned as the Optics Valley of China, or OVC).

According to Jiang Fan, a project manager of the Wuhan Metro Group Co, Metro Line 19 is an express city line in Wuhan's rail transit network, with the highest operation speed reaching 120 kilometers per hour.

After completion, the metro line will better serve the road axis connecting the Yangchun Lake city sub-center, Wudong area, Gujia Mountain area, Huashan Mountain area, Huashan New City, and the Optics Valley Central City.
