The Model X Plaid and Tesla Bot, two new energy products by US automaker, Tesla, have been on display at the Tesla Center in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), since March 16.

The center in OVC is Tesla's science and technology research base in Wuhan, capital of Central China's Hubei province. 

The products are displayed in OVC due to local population structure and individual income advantages. This exhibition will help OVC construct the core area for its international consumption center city. 

Last year, OVC sold over 25,000 new energy vehicles, totaling 6.1 billion yuan ($885.16 million), which accounted for about 25 percent of Wuhan's total sales in its new energy vehicle sector.
