Three cervical cancer screening models independently developed by Wuhan's Landing Medical High-Tech Co, together with 5,000 consumable sets, will be delivered to Pakistan soon, according to reports from Changjiang Daily on Dec 21. Landing Medical was founded in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China), Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province.

The model uses artificial intelligence technology to screen and diagnose the cervical cancer for Pakistani women.

Committed to developing cutting-edge early cancer diagnostic technologies to decrease cancer-related mortalities, Landing Medical will also establish a cloud diagnosing research center for Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital in Pakistan.

In a China-Pakistan economic cooperation conference held in 2019, several international think tanks owned by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences signed a memorandum of understanding with Pakistan to promote cervical cancer screening services in the country.

Technologies developed by Landing Medical were utilized in Hubei's cervical cancer and breast cancer screening programs in 2017. So far, the firm has provided products and services for 31 cities, provinces, as well as many countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, saving the lives of nearly 60,000 women.
