The State Administration for Market Regulation has officially approved the national optical device for communication quality inspection center to be built in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), according to a news release by the Hubei Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau on Oct 11.

Wuhan Wangrui Testing Technology Co is mainly responsible for the construction of the new center. After 30 years of development, the company has formed a full-fledged testing system, and is capable of systematic information communication network testing, with many such related inspection platforms already established.

After being put into use, the national optical device for communication quality inspection center will provide optical device testing and assessment services, offer consultations to enterprises in the area, and participate in the formulation of relevant international and national standards.

Hubei currently boasts 25 established State-level quality inspection centers out of the total 34 approved by the nation. Among them, four are based in OVC, which also houses 125 other inspection and testing bodies.
