CICT Mobile – a developer of 5G technologies in China based in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) – was successfully listed on the STAR market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Sept 26.

Officials from the State Council, governments of Hubei province, Wuhan city and the OVC attended the celebration.

The company is the third one to go public in the valley this year and is also the first one among the three to be on the STAR market.

CICT Mobile is the only high-tech enterprise owned by the central government committed to the international communication standard formulation and core technology research and development.

Moving forwards, plans are for the group to boost its independent research capacity and forge a bigger global voice in technology frontiers.
