Located to the north of the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC), Huashan Ecological New City boasts an abundance of natural wonders – a part of the Yangtze River, Yanxi Lake, Yandong Lake, Zhuzi Lake, Qingtan Lake, Changjia Mountain, and Baiyang Mountain.

It also borders Wuhan Future City in the south and the East Lake scenic area in the west.
