Since the beginning of 2022, TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co – a company founded in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) with a cumulative investment of 70 billion yuan ($10.99 billion) – has seen impressive production and sales for its t3 project.

As a heavyweight in Hubei's trillion-yuan "optics, IC, displays, terminals and internet" industrial cluster, the company has ranked first in Hubei for six years in a row in terms of number of patents. The firm has also invigorated the development of downstream and upstream industries in the display panel industry.

"Workers who stay put during the Spring Festival holiday will receive a bonus up to 17,000 yuan", said an official from TCL, which has rolled out a slew of policies to grant workers all kinds of subsidies to encourage them to work during the festival.

The firm has now expanded into mobile phones, panel computers, laptops, in-vehicle displays, wearable smart devices, smart homes and other areas, with its annual output exceeding 17 billion yuan last year.
