The first China (Wuhan) Culture and Tourism Expo kicked off in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on Nov 26.

The three-day event features eight major exhibition areas, a central stage, a culture and tourism fair and several trade fairs with a total area of 60,000 square meters.

The expo will hold a business promotion campaign for Wuhan, a national culture and tourism summit with four sub-summits, and exhibitions of Hubei souvenirs and artworks.

Over 1,000 cultural and tourism enterprises and organizations from 15 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Portugal, South Korea, Switzerland, and Thailand, are participating in the expo.

The East Lake High-tech Development Zone (also known as Optics Valley of China, or OVC) is displaying a spectacular giant plum tree in the expo's exhibition area, with each plum blossom featuring a chip, combining technology with tradition. Meanwhile, robots capable of performing a series of tea-serving actions are also on display at the expo.
