According to a report on China's platform software market research for 2020 and 2021 issued by CCID Consulting Co, the first Chinese consulting firm listed in the Growth Enterprise Market of the Stock Exchange (GEM) of Hong Kong, Wuhan Dameng Database Co in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China or OVC) in Central China's Hubei province occupied the largest share in the domestic database market in 2020.

As a full-stack data products and solutions provider, Dameng is able to offer clients full-life-cycle data management products and comprehensive solutions, with its domestic market share ranking first for more than 10 years.

Since 1988, Dameng has experienced three technologically challenging periods and developed China's first database managing system prototype with an independent copyright – CRDS.

From DM1 to DM8, Dameng has made valuable explorations into the database industry and has gradually reached global standards.

Boasting a nationwide sales and service network, Dameng now has more than 100,000 domestic and overseas clients. Its database products have been widely applied in over 50 areas, and have brought major breakthroughs in finance, electricity, aerospace, and communications.

The CCID report also points out that last year, the global market scale of database management systems reached $25.55 billion. As China is attaching more and more importance to the security of platform software, the domestic market scale of such software is expected to see rapid growth from 2021-23.
