East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, the capital city of Central China's Hubei province, recently organized a variety of Party history education and promotion activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

On May 18, more than 200 retired cadres, representatives of Party members and other people participated in a Party history education event.

Associate professor Chen Minghui from Huazhong Agricultural University gave a lecture on Party history during the New Democratic Revolution Period (1919-1949).

Following the lesson, participants visited the China Architectural Science and Technology Museum in the zone to learn about ancient Chinese architectural history and the splendor of modern architectural technology.

On May 17, a Party history education activity was held on Huashan Street, attracting the participation of more than 200 people.

In addition, students at the zone also took part in Party history education activities, which included the screening of a film about the establishment of the CPC.
