Five Hubei laboratories were launched at the sci-tech innovation conference held on March 29 in Wuhan, the capital city of Central China's Hubei province. Three of them will be co-established by Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone, also known as Optics Valley of China.

In the photoelectric field, Huazhong University of Science and Technology will establish the Hubei Optics Valley laboratory, which will be co-built by Optics Valley.

In the space science and technology field, Wuhan University and Optics Valley will co-build the Hubei Luojia laboratory.

To serve the construction of the National Memory Base in Optics Valley, Yangtze Memory Technologies Co Ltd and the zone will co-build the Hubei Jiangcheng laboratory.

With the aim of enhancing the original innovation ability in major fields and overcoming the technological barriers to the development of key industries, Hubei's laboratories will carry out major original research and collaborative scientific research and strive to become national-level labs.
