Six companies based at East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Wuhan, the capital of Central China's Hubei province, were listed among China's top 500 brands in 2020, according to a recent announcement by Wuhan's market supervision and management bureau.

A total of 16 brands in Wuhan made the list, including Dongfeng automobiles, Zhou Hei Ya and BESTORE.

Among the 16 brands, six are from Optics Valley of China: Yangtze Memory Technologies Co Ltd, Wuhan Optics Valley United Group Ltd, Wuhan Guide Infrared Co Ltd, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company, FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies Co Ltd and Douyu.

Wuhan is now home to 101 well-known trademarks, among which some are well-known internationally, such as Donghu Lake, Yellow Crane Tower and FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies.
