"Gazelle enterprises" are high-growth companies. According to the 2020 Optics Valley gazelle enterprise development report, more than 400 such enterprises are in the zone, and the 2020 revenue of these companies increased by 51.3 percent year-on-year.

Among them, 21 gazelle enterprises had a compound growth rate of more than 200 percent over the past two years.

The zone recently organized eight gazelle enterprises in the fields of optoelectronics and the internet of things to give a roadshow in Shenzhen, in South China's Guangdong province.

Over the past six months, more than 20 Optics Valley gazelle enterprises have gone to Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen to seek cooperations with many top domestic venture capital agencies.

As of Jan 8, 2021, the three roadshows organized by the zone to Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen since last year have attracted more than 80 investment institutions, including major players such as SB China Capital, Green Pine Capital Partners, Cowin Capital Group and China Renaissance.
