Resident in Optics Valley -- also known as the East Lake High-tech Development Zone in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province -- YOFC is the world's leading supplier of optical fiber preforms, optical fibers, optical cables and integrated solutions.
It makes the world's largest preform -- the solid rods of glass used in the first stage of making optical fiber.
The biggest preform currently being produced by the company has a diameter of 220 millimeters and a drawing speed of 3,500 meters per minute, making it the world's leader.
The China International Information Communication Technology Exhibition 2020, or PT Expo China -- held in Beijing from Oct 14 to 16 -- was the first national-level exhibition that YOFC participated in after the novel coronavirus pandemic broke out earlier this year.
At the expo, the company showcased the next generation solutions for data center spatial multiplexing, based on new multicore optical technology.
The company also showed new products such as ultra-high refractive index lenses, synthetic quartz mound and pipes, as well as passive thermal management modules.
In addition, the company also introduced new products and solutions for the rollout of 5G networks. These included new types of optical cables and optical modules, power communication solutions with long-distance features and products with large capacity and high reliability.
For the network development needs of data centers, the company has developed a comprehensive wiring solution with high density, high reliability, high performance and high scalability.
The solution introduced for urban rail transportation can achieve full bandwidth, wide coverage, low attenuation and empower the 5G communications of urban rail transit.
The group will continue to consolidate its important position in the global 5G industrial chain and contribute to the build-out of China's 5G network.
It will continue new infrastructure construction and make positive contributions to stabilizing and smoothing the global industrial chain supply chain and promoting the world economic recovery.
