Tips for having fun in Optics Valley during National Day holiday

During the upcoming eight-day National Day holiday, all major business districts, scenic spots, museums, hotels and other facilities in Optics Valley of China -- in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province -- have prepared a whole host of exciting and special activities.

They said the idea is for everyone to play and have fun in the zone during the holiday. The events and activities will appeal to all kinds of people, including trendy youngers, parents and their babies, sports and adventure enthusiasts and others.

1. 2020 Optics Valley "starry sky" Music Festival

A live music show with the theme of a starry sky.

Six top local bands will perform for audiences.

2. Traditional Chinese-style photography exhibition

24-hour outdoor exhibition.

No appointment required and it's free.

Exhibition of 70 outstanding photos, showcasing traditional Chinese clothes.

3. Retro style art exhibition

Immersive retro-style art exhibition. Through the old things and old photos, visitors can learn about the changes in fashion and clothing and explore oriental aesthetics. The organizer of the exhibition, the Lizhongtang photo studio, has a history going back of 180 years. It has a large collection of books, old photos and old qipao dresses.

This is the first international crossover trendy art exhibition in Wuhan in 2020.

More than 20 international fashion works, as well as multi-media works by four domestic fashion artists, go on display.

The organizers say it's also been constructed to top 5A level tourist scenic spot standards, with a total of 19,000 square meters' building area.

The exhibition area of the museum covers about 6,000 sq m, including a permanent exhibition area, thematic exhibition area and temporary exhibition area.
