A power walk event held on Sept 26 in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone -- located in the city of Wuhan in Central China's Hubei province -- marked the first team sports event to be held there since the novel coronavirus outbreak.

The event, which attracted the participation of 68 teams, took place in the newly completed greenway in Longquan Mountain in the zone -- also known as Optics Valley of China.

Apart from being the first team sports event, the activity was also held to celebrate the upcoming National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival.

All 68 teams that took part came from the departments, units and businesses resident in the zone.

Most of them were born in the 1980s and 1990s and the youngest team had an average age of 26.6.

In addition to the green mountains and rivers, there were other places of interest to enjoy in the five-kilometer greenway.

A team from Wuhan branch of Foxconn took first prize in the power walk.
