East Lake High-tech Development Zone -- also known as Optics Valley of China and which is located in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province -- recently launched a major online recruitment drive, releasing the first batch of nearly 5,000 high-paid job positions, according to local media reports on March 24.

To minimize the impact of the novel coronavirus epidemic on employment and to continue to prevent and control the epidemic, officials said the authorities of Optics Valley had moved its annual recruitment activity online.

The first batch of positions include jobs being offered by a group of representative companies from Optics Valley, including Yangtze Memory Technologies, Humanwell Healthcare, WISDRI, Dangdai Group, Raycus and HGTech.

Officials said the industries with the largest labor demand in Optics Valley are mainly in optoelectronics information, intelligent manufacturing, biomedicines and the internet industries, focusing on the recruitment of middle and top-level innovative talent.

Zone authorities said that it is promoting cooperation with colleges and universities to open a special cloud recruitment activity for graduates.

This will help enterprises, colleges and students to effectively match with each other through a customized cloud platform, injecting development vitality into companies.
