Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China) in Central China's Hubei province recently signed an agreement with India to co-establish a new drug-incubating public service platform at Optics Valley's Sino-India industrial park.

As a key part of the industrial park, the platform will be completed in three years and provide services for international cooperation in developing innovative drugs and medical equipment.

The platform aims to bring scientific and technological achievements from laboratories to the market, and allow both China and India to conduct cooperation on drugs, medical equipment and biological agriculture.

India's advantages in pharmaceutical manufacturing, software service outsourcing and cultural creativity are expected to bring more opportunities to Optics Valley of China.

The industrial park will organize summits and fairs for companies in China and India, aiming to become a major project of the Belt and Road Initiative, a platform for Sino-India exchanges, and an example of reform and innovation among China's pilot free trade zones
