Optics Valley seeks cooperation with South Asia

A delegation representing Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China), Central China's Hubei province visited India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka from Nov 18 to 25.
The visit aimed to enhance the relationship between Optics Valley of China and the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
During the 2019 Global Bio-India held in India, the delegation gave an overview of the bioindustry development in Optics Valley of China and the previous cooperation with India.
Optics Valley of China signed an agreement with Cadila Healthcare, Sinopharm Capital, and United Imaging to co-establish the China-India Science and Technology Industrial Park in Wuhan.
In addition to Cadila Healthcare, which already has set up a branch in Optics Valley of China, the delegation also visited the global headquarters of Infosys and Indo-Mim to discuss investment opportunities in Wuhan.
During their visit in Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, and Colombo, capital of Sri Lanka, the delegation discussed cooperation in the biomedicine and electronic information industries.
The delegation also visited Sri Lanka's largest commercial complex, the Odel project, built by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co, which is based in Optics Valley of China.
