16th OVC Expo attracts over 60,000 visitors

The 16th Optics Valley of China International Optoelectronic Expo and Forum (OVC Expo) was held in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China), Central China's Hubei province from Nov 13 to 15, receiving over 60,000 visitors.

About 400 companies, as well as 5,000 representatives of experts and scholars from around the world, attended the expo, which focused on the optoelectronics industry to showcase Hubei's whole industry chain from photoelectric technology to products.

Major optoelectronics enterprises released their latest products and technologies at the expo, including China's first 100G silicon photonics chip, the first hydrogen energy fuelled automobile made in Optics Valley of China, and the OLED flexible display.

Scholars from China, the United States, Germany, Japan, Australia, and South Africa attended the 24 forums held during the expo to share opinions on innovative optoelectronic technologies, such as ultrafast lasers, fiber optic sensing, and 5G communications.

Since first being held in 2012, OVC Expo has attracted over 5,400 exhibitors and 530,000 visitors from 30 countries and regions, as well as organized 150 forums, which make it one of the most professional optoelectronic expos in China, as well as an important platform for the world to learn about China's optoelectronics industry development.
