Nobel laureate attends Wuhan's OVC Expo

During the three-day Optics Valley of China (OVC) International Optoelectronic Exposition and Forum held in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China), Central China's Hubei province from Nov 13 to 15, 10 academicians and 132 experts from across the world attended the forum.

William Moerner, winner of the 2014 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, shared his research on biophysics at the OVC International Forum on the Optoelectronics and Information Industry.

As the first one in the world to detect single molecules, Moerner introduced the application of optical detection in disease prevention.

Other experts shared opinions on super-resolution optical microscopy, smart manufacturing, optical communication, nano-optics, and optical chips.
